Sculpture Concept:

Bodacious Blossoms is an artistic interpretation of Red Dahlia Flower in stages of bloom. Constructed of recycled sheet metals and piping, the large flower cluster is painted in vibrant natural colors. The Bodacious Blossom complements the natural aesthetic of the vibrant flowers found in bloom at the garden.

It is Bre Harris’ intention to engage the viewer to appreciate the natural beauty of the Red Dahlia Flower and to express its human characteristics. The Dahlia flower symbolizes elegance and dignity, a human feature that we all appreciate, and embodies the philosophy of The Bernice Garden.

For Bre, this quote says it all for her: “The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work…” by Emile Zola
